The fetal liver begins its formation at around E105, sprouting from the gut, which becomes the initial location for hematopoietic cell genesis and growth. Digital platforms are increasingly enabling scientific research to leverage microwork and crowdsourcing for collecting fresh data. Our analysis suggests that current scientific research fails to treat microworkers equitably with in-person human participants, resulting in a de facto two-tiered moral system: one for individuals with rights acknowledged by states and international bodies (for example, the Helsinki Declaration), and a different standard for the guest workers in digital autocracies, who often have limited to no rights. Our argument is illustrated through the lens of 57 interviews with microworkers across Spanish-speaking countries.
We aim to uncover the associations linking retinal vascular features to normal-tension glaucoma (NTG). Our case-control study, employing a prospective cohort design, documented 23 cases of NTG. We identified a control subject for every NTG patient with primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG), carefully matched for age, systemic hypertension, diabetes status, and visual correction.
