by thin films of different material classes by pulsed laser deposition. All materials used possess a low intrinsic roughness on smooth substrates. As studied by atomic force microscopy, the surface roughness is continuously smoothed out with increasing layer thickness. In all cases, the whole process is strongly frequency dependent as expected from theoretical predictions. The dominant smoothing mechanisms have been identified as surface diffusion for small structures below a critical lateral size and sputter erosion or downhill currents for larger structures. “Microwave find more endometrial ablation (MEA) is the most commonly used new generation ablative technique in the UK. It is one of the new generation techniques recommended learn more for management of menorrhagia by NICE. They are favoured over Tran cervical resection or ablation because of the ease of use and equitable effectiveness. Ablative technique usage has increase over the last few years with a reduction in hysterectomy performed for menorrhagia (RCOG). It is offered to women who have completed their

family. Adverse complication has been described in pregnancy and endometrial resection and ablation, but there is limited evidence about newer techniques and pregnancy outcome. We found four pregnancies in three women. Three pregnancies were terminated at less than 12 weeks gestation. One pregnancy leads to a successful live birth with no complication in the pregnancy.”
“Purpose: Patients with colorectal cancer experience physical, psychological and social challenges. Psychosocial interventions seem to be effective in improving the physical, psychological

and social outcomes of cancer patients. There is a lack of research exploring the effectiveness of pre-operative and postoperative psychosocial interventions on the outcomes of colorectal patients. This literature review aimed to explore the effects of pre-operative and post-operative psychosocial interventions on the outcomes Ulixertinib of patients with colorectal cancer, including physical, psychological and social functioning, as well as the quality of life.

Methods and sample: A literature search for studies on psychosocial interventions for patients with colorectal cancer published between 2002 and 2012 was undertaken from electronic databases of Medline, CINAHL, Scopus, PsycINFO, Mednar, and Proquest Hand-searching was conducted to find relevant papers from the reference lists of included articles.

Key results: Eleven studies met the inclusion criteria and were included after methodological quality appraisal. A narrative summary was carried out.
