Every year, the European construction industry generates 370 million tonnes of construction and demolition waste (CDW), which includes important secondary building materials. To effectively manage CDW within a circular framework, quantification is paramount and environmentally crucial. Therefore, the overarching objective of this research was to formulate a modeling methodology for determining the generation of demolition waste (DW). Employing computer-aided design (CAD) software, 45 residential buildings in Greece had their construction materials' cubic meter volumes meticulously estimated, and the materials were then sorted according to the European List of Waste. Demolition of these materials will result in waste, an estimated 1590 kg per square meter of top-down area, concrete and bricks making up 745% of the total quantity. To forecast the aggregate and component-wise consumption of 12 building materials, researchers employed linear regression models, leveraging structural building characteristics as predictors. To gauge the models' precision, the building materials of two residences were quantified and categorized, and the outcomes were juxtaposed against predicted model values. The percentage difference between predicted total DW by various models and CAD estimates for the initial case study was between 74% and 111%, while the percentage difference for the second case was between 15% and 25%.
